What Happens at a Rehearsal

Every Monday rehearsal runs for two hours and opens with a warm-up and vocal development – technique comes first, not just singing through songs. We work from full choral scores in four-part harmony rather than lyric sheets, seated, in a focused but light-hearted room. You won't be asked to dance or to memorise everything. Around 80% of our members learnt to read music after joining, so sight-reading is genuinely not a requirement.

Where Our Marlow Singers Perform

Our 2026/27 season includes a concert at All Saints Church in Marlow, alongside the wider choir programme: Cadogan Hall, the Royal Academy of Music, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, Abbey Road Studios, Disneyland California, the Berlin Philharmonie and Chase Field Stadium in Arizona. Tours to Finland and Hong Kong are also planned.

Getting to Our Marlow Rehearsals

We rehearse at Christ Church URC on Oxford Road, a short walk from Marlow town centre, which puts us within easy reach of Marlow Bottom, Little Marlow, Bourne End, Flackwell Heath, Cookham, Maidenhead, High Wycombe and Henley-on-Thames. Your membership also covers our St Albans and Aylesbury rehearsals, so you can sing up to three times a week at no extra cost.

Membership and Joining

Membership is £58.50 a month by Direct Debit with no long-term contract. That covers around 40 two-hour rehearsals a year – we run all year round, not just in term time – plus workshops, joint and project rehearsals, online learning resources and socials. Discounts are available for students in full-time education. There's no audition to come along to a taster session; if you decide to join afterwards, we'll arrange a friendly 5–10 minute voice review to find your part.
